Instructional
The USSF Instructional Programs in Howard County are coordinated by Craig Proffen, USSF Instructor & Area Instructional Coordinator. Currently, there are four (4) entry level courses offered each year in Howard County. Prior to each Spring & Fall Seasons a course is offered on Sunday Evenings lasting 3 hours for 6 weeks. Additionally, a Weekend Course is also offered where the entire 18 hours of instruction is given in 2-3 days. Each course is announced in advance on this web site on the "Classes" page. Pre-registration is required for all courses.
Students in the Entry Level Courses can test their comprehension and learning of the current week's course material by taking the respective quiz. These quizes are available during the actual courses and restricted at any other time. Since referees MUST memorize Law 12, Fouls & Misconducts, that Law can be found on a page here under "Instructional" and is available at all times. In addition, the course presentations can also be found linked here while the courses are being conducted. This way students can review the material presented at each session.
Current USSF Referees can enhance & test their knowledge by taking the  "Question of the Week". Almost weekly a new question is given and the answer for the prior week's. This can be found here under "Instructional" then under "Test Your Knowledge".
Since referees and prespective students normally have generally the same or similar questions, we've tried to answer them here on this web site under "FAQs".
